On the eve of Ashura, let us remember that the Battle of Karbala is not merely a tragedy to mourn; but a truth to uphold: that silence in the face of oppression is complicity.
The message of Imam Hussain (A.S.) remains as relevant today as ever: resistance in the face of coercion, domination, and injustice always carries a cost. But Ashura reminds us that some principles are worth more than comfort or even life itself.
Ironically, today resistance is often celebrated as "courage" when it serves geopolitical interests, and condemned as "terrorism" when it does not!
Ashura reminds us that labels change with power; principles do not.
