k Mezinárodní den svátek práce

U příležitosti Mezinárodního dne pracujících si připomínáme tento významný den, který vzešel z historických zápasů za prosazení základních práv pracujících a ochranu lidské důstojnosti. Připomíná nám, že udržitelný rozvoj ani sociální stabilita nejsou možné bez důsledné ochrany práv zaměstnanců a zajištění bezpečných podmínek pro práci i výrobu.

V této souvislosti vzbuzují hluboké znepokojení nezákonné útoky na civilní infrastrukturu během vnucené, neodůvodněné a z morálního i právního hlediska neobhajitelné války proti Íránské islámské republice ze strany vlády USA, která porušuje mezinárodní právo, a sionistického režimu. Tyto útoky vedly ke zničení výrobních kapacit a k rozsáhlé ztrátě pracovních příležitostí.

Na rozdíl od původního, zjevně nepřesného tvrzení prezidenta USA, že cílem války proti Íránu je „pomoci íránskému lidu“, měly útoky na civilní průmyslovou infrastrukturu zásadní negativní dopad na životní podmínky íránských pracujících.

Takové jednání vedle svých závažných humanitárních a ekonomických důsledků představuje také zřejmé porušení základních principů mezinárodního práva, zejména zásad rozlišování, proporcionality a ochrany civilních objektů a infrastruktury.

Nedodržování těchto závazků nejen podkopává živobytí pracujících a ekonomickou stabilitu společností, ale zároveň vážně narušuje důvěryhodnost mezinárodního právního řádu. V této souvislosti je třeba zdůraznit, že taková porušení zakládají povinnost vyvodit odpovědnost a zajistit plnou a bezpodmínečnou náhradu škod ze strany jejich původců v souladu s normami mezinárodního práva.

Od mezinárodního společenství se očekává, že v plném souladu se svými právními závazky zajistí, aby se podobné protiprávní činy neopakovaly, a že bude aktivně usilovat o vytvoření účinných mechanismů odpovědnosti a vymáhání náhrad ze strany odpovědných subjektů. Ochrana práv pracujících i kritické infrastruktury vyžaduje odpovědný, koordinovaný a na právu založený přístup na mezinárodní úrovni.

V tento den, kdy vzdáváme hold práci a úsilí všech pracujících, znovu potvrzujeme nutnost chránit jejich práva, posilovat jistotu zaměstnání a upevňovat společný závazek k základním principům mezinárodního práva.

Statement on

International Workers’ Day

On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, we commemorate this day, which stems from historic struggles for the realization of the fundamental rights of the workforce and the preservation of human dignity. Its designation serves as a reminder that sustainable development and social stability are not attainable without safeguarding workers’ rights and ensuring secure conditions for employment and production.

In this context, unlawful attacks on civilian infrastructure during the imposed, unjustified, and morally and legally untenable war against the Islamic Republic of Iran by the US law-violating Government and Zionist Regime, which resulted in the destruction of productive capacities and the widespread loss of employment opportunities, remain a matter of profound and grave concern.

Contrary to the US President's initial ridiculous claim that the war against Iran was to “help the Iranian people”, the attack on civilian industrial infrastructures has seriously jeopardized the livelihoods of the Iranian working class.

Such actions, in addition to their severe human and economic consequences, constitute a clear violation of fundamental principles of international law, particularly the rules governing distinction, proportionality, and the protection of civilian objects and infrastructure.

Failure to adhere to these obligations not only undermines the livelihoods of workers and the economic security of societies, but also seriously challenges the credibility of the international legal order. In this regard, it is emphasized that such violations entail the obligation of effective accountability and the full and unconditional reparation of damages by the perpetrators, in accordance with international legal norms.

The international community is expected to, in full compliance with its legal obligations, ensure the non-recurrence of such unlawful acts and actively pursue the establishment of appropriate mechanisms for accountability and the enforcement of reparations by those responsible. The protection of workers’ rights and critical infrastructure requires a responsible, coordinated, and law-based international approach.

On this day, while paying tribute to the efforts of workers, we reaffirm the necessity of safeguarding their rights, ensuring employment security, and strengthening collective commitment to the fundamental principles of international law.
